Metro Atlanta buyers got a little breathing room this week. The national average for a 30-year fixed mortgage fell to 7.24%, down from 7.32% last week, according to Freddie Mac. That could mean a slightly lower payment for buyers shopping here at home. Your own rate will vary, so ask your lender for updated numbers before making an offer. For sellers, this is a good reminder to price your home with buyers’ monthly budgets in mind.
